egg shells, nut shells, cocoa shells, bio polymer, plant based bioresins
For her Master’s project, the designer researched the usability of natural waste materials such as egg shells, nuts and cocoa beans as composites. She developed a process using biopolymers as a binder. The material is 100% biologically degradable and can be used for many purposes – for product design or interior design work. Shapes, colors and patterns can be varied, and each product is unique. “Pebbles” is a decorative wall hook with an integrated shelf.
