Given the mass consumption of pot noodles (in China) the goal was to reduce waste packaging. The agar spice strip uses a thickener based on red algae to which the spices are applied and then dries as a thin film. This narrow strip can then be cut into portions. It dissolves in water at 90° C and provides the spices for the noodles.
